AOL mail push workaround

I am sure people have had similar problems so hopefully someone can answer this. My dad just switched to an iPhone. He is a heavy AOL user and does all of his business (both locally and internationally) using it so he is extremely tied to that address. This is a deal-breaker as he is coming from a Blackberry and is not willing to wait for mail to fetch it every 15 minutes (not to mention the drain on the battery).

With that said, is there an app or work-around that can help us solve this problem?

I tried searching for an answer but couldn't do it due to the word length restriction.

Thanks in advance guys!

I know the solution I use for gmail is forwarding to ymail. Also, many people with mobileme forward their gmail to that for push. Not sure if AOL allows you to send a copy to another email.

If not then you could maybe setup a ymail or mobile me account to POP3 into the AOL account like every 5 mins (or whatever the max time you can do).
