3G S problem - can't hang up calls!

Got my new phone. Any time I make a call, the screen deactivates when I pull it away from my face. Hold it back to my ear, screen activates again - in other words, the reverse of what it's supposed to do. It happens every time. Already powered it off and on, and did a restore. Thoughts? Help!

The restore you did, was it restore as a new phone or as a backup? If you did it as a backup try it as a new phone and see if it works.

It happens to me every once in a while but not enough to bother. I restored from backup with 3.0, but I have a lot of $hit on my iphone and restoring to new is great but I have things that I can't retain with a simple sync. If I reset the phone, it fares well for a while.
