Does anybody know if it is possible to get the screen replaced on the iphone. I was being very stupid.

If it's still under warranty, or you have Apple Care, try taking it to an Apple Store. If you are planning on upgrading to a new device, I would just live with it as is until you get upgraded.

There are various kits as well as vendors for replacing the screen. As well, there is always ebay.
