call failed

anytime i try to make a phone call it will start dialing and then a cail failed will happen.. i can still send sms and I can still browse the net.... just cant make phone calls.... i tried restoring the phone and i tried reseting it with home and power button i dont have my warranty left on the phone b/c it expired i have a iphone 3g updated fully

any suggestions?

If you have the 3G then your warranty has definitely not expired. The warranty is for a year, and the 3G hasn't even been around for a year. When you restored, did you restore as new phone or as backup? Try as new phone.

your right lol i have the old one not the 3g... i tried restoring as a new phone too and it didnt work i think ima screwed

Maybe go to AT&T and test if a different sim card will work? I have no idea.

If the SIM card was bad, the SMS and internet would not work, either. It doesn't sound like the cellular radio either, for the same reason. Although, I would have to agree to try getting it changed, as it could be corrupted or damaged in some way.

Could have something to do with AT&T changing EDGE over to the 1900 spectrum that has been talked about. Do you know of others in your area that are having similar problems?
