Help in buying Iphone 4m USA

Hey I was really googling and i found this wonderful forum and i hope to be an active user....

I really wanna know something , i'm going to buy an iphone 3G from USA and i wanna know should i buy the iphone with an AT&T Plan or i can buy it without AT&T or any brand just the phone coz i wanna buy it as a gift 4 a friend outside the US ???

Yes, it's a nice forum, ain't it? But we don't ship AT&T equipment to Nigeria.

im currently here in iraq and i had my wife purchase mine and had it shipped out here, but about buying without an AT&T plan youll probobly wanna get with an AT&T rep or just get your iPhone on ebay
