numeric key pad locked

i have a unlocked jailbroken 2g but i cant make calls from keypad.
My contacts work and everything eles seems to work fine.
just no key pad for phone or i cant get to my favorite numbers

any help would be great thanks Brian

did you download the program RipDev?

I had a similar problem and I found a thread about this buried deep.

You may have downloaded a program called RipDev Kate.
If you go to Settings/RipDev/RipDev Products and under "licenses" tap the Kate program. That program is preventing you from using the dial pad. You may see an X next to it. You can get a temp license or buy it. Or just delete the whole program. It's $25.00 but I do like it myself.
