Frozen app on home screen

My phone froze in the middle of downloading an application, and now there is just a strange grey application on my phone. I cannot delete it when I hold down an application. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it?

Nevermind... Problem solved.

If anyone has this problem in the future. Llofte once again saved my butt by giving me the following advice: Download the application on your computer and sync the application from there.

I had this happen once... power cycling the phone (holding the sleep/awake button down until the phone turns off) enabled me to delete it using the normal methods.
