Hi guys,

First of all you are gonna maybe some stupid questions, so try to be comprehensive :).

I bought my unlocked iphone in the US on December 2007.

1. I am now trying to find out if my iphone is a 1g or 2g ? For sure it's not a 3 g ... But how can I tell it's a the first generation ?

2. My iphone is unlocked and jailbreaked I think and in version 1.1.1. I would like to get the version 2.2. Can I directly upgrade my 1.1 to 2.2 safely ? what is the procedure for that ?

Thanks in advance, I have been looking for hours on the subject and I really need your help.

Matt

There are only 2 generations of iPhone, the original and the 2nd gen.(called the 3g because of the data network it used.) I believe you have a 1st gen iPhone.
I can't help you with the jailbreak thing.
