iPhone voice capability gone silent!

hey - for some reason, when i call someone/they call me, i can no longer hear anything! voicemails can be left and i hear them fine. any ideas?

yes, msbaylor - that's right. when i call, i don't hear the ring or if someone answers, their voice. cheers - d
