alarm clocks

Went alarm clock shopping since my little one went poof. I saw all kinds of stuff that you can put ipods on, some iphone compatible as well.

Question: Is anything like that iphone 3g compatible? Just seeing iphone compatible isn't good enough since apple was kind enough to screw that up.

Saw the ihome stuff, some sony brands, etc. Would an adaptor have to be bought?

However, i've been using the iphone 3g itself as an alarm clock in the meanwhile and its not failed. Only thing missing is a clock screensaver of some sort to display the time.

Some of the newer iHome alarm clocks should work with the 3G - have to look through to see which ones though...

i looked. "iphone compatible" doesn't mean much to me since we got two different iphones.
