Iphone not recognized by Powerbook

I've recently downinstalled from Leopard to Tiger so I could put Avid Mediacomposer on my powerbook, but now my Iphone isn't getting recognized by my itunes. I still have all my bookmarks, playlists, etc on the Iphone and want to get them back onto the powerbook. Is there any way to force the Iphone to get recognized and sync with my computer?

you might try reinstalling itunes. the downgrade may have messed with it.
