How to reset iPhone for sale?

I'm selling my 8g iphone and its unlocked/jailbroken. How do I restore it without locking it back up again? I want to clear out all my personal information for the new owner.

Do a simple restore. It will not effect the unlock. Will wipe out the JB though.

Whats the JB? Will that effect the phones performance? I have a buyer I'm meeting in about an hour. To reset I just plug it into my computer and do it via iTunes?

WAIT! JB= jailbreak right? Does that mean he wont be able to download any 3rd party apps? Would it be better if I just went thru and wiped out my info?

Just curious, i was wanting to sell my then pay off the balance i owe at&t. Can a new user use this before i pay em off?
