    Default iPhone in Washington DC...coverage?

I am thinking of switching my Sprint Treo 700p to ATT iphone. I use data a moderate amount and debating about waiting for the 3g iphone. But, I have some questions for those that have iphone in the DC area,

    1. Is phone coverage in DC pretty good
    2. Is current EDGE data poor, fair, good, excellent? What kind of speed do you get.

Not a big wifi guy, so those speeds are not as important.

You should ask Antel0pe, I believe he's out of the DC area.

I've been using ATT in the DC area since they were ATT the last time. Coverage is fantastic, and data speeds are good too. You'll get no coverage in the metro, and if youre deep inside a building you may also have some issues.

surfing the web and using email is fast as long as you have at least 2-3 bars. When i've tested the speeds theyve been between 90-120kbps.

If you want any info about specific areas let me know.

Take a look at the AT&T coverage viewer. Seems to be pretty accurate. http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/
