iphone 3gs ios 4 with cydia.
didn't want jail broken phone anymore so i tried reset to factory setting.
didn't happen and it just shut off, turn on with apple logo, and shut off again and do the samething

i went on apple.com and follow procedure

i downloaded latest IOS
3 hours later i come back and window popped up
and said "iphone could not be restored an unknown error occurred 3194"
idk what to do please help thank you.

Put in DFU (not recovery) mode and then restore through iTunes. What happened to you is a normal result of restoring factory settings on a jailbroken phone rather than restoring through iTunes.
