    Default How do I unlock an AT&T iPhone 3GS running iOS6 (not activated or jailbroken)

    I have an AT&T iPhone 3GS that was previously jailbroken but became bricked. I restored it to iOS 6 but have not been able to get past the activation screen. I want to do a factory unlock using the IMEI number, because AT&T is not available where I will be using the phone. I don't have the original SIM.

    Is there a way to activate and/or unlock the phone without jailbreaking it first?

    All you have to do is ask someone who has AT&T to lend you their SIM card for a few minutes just to activate, and that's it.

    you just need an AT&T sim, unless you jailbreak.

    Go on eBay unlock fusion pay 9 bucks and have it factory unlocked .. Then any sim should activate the phone after a restore
