USB Power Adapter for 3GS

My wife just got an iPhone 3GS handed down from her sister who upgraded to the new 4S. My wife's old phone was a Blackberry Torch 9800. That phone uses a USB Power Adapter to charge on the wall like on the iPhone.

Can she use the USB Power Adapter from her old BB to charge her iPhone 3GS? Or does she need to buy the Apple one?

The info on the charger is as follows:

Output: 5V 750mA
