Fieldtest in 8gb Iphone 3GS over 32 gb..
My wife and I got the newest 3GS phones, only difference being one is 8gb version other is 32gb. In side by side comparisons, the 8gb version seems to get a better signal alot of the time. On average of about 5 points in field test mode. Should they be getting exact same readings or is this normal? Should i look to get a different sim card?
Also, on the 32gb version, you can get to fieldtest by using iphone search to search for "fieldtest" and it shows it. On the 8gb version you can't do this. Nothing comes up in search. You can only get to field test by punching in the right numbers on the key pad. Why is this??

I may be mistaken, but there is no 8gb 3GS. There is an 8gb and a 16gb 3G. The 3GS comes in 16gb and 32gb.
As far as the fieldtest goes with the two phones, could just be random, something to do with cases on the phones, or some other small contributing factor. I'm sure someone with more expertise could help with that question.

there are too many variables to make a test like that be remotely valid.
even having two phones in the same area could change how they work as they put out radiation that affects each other
on the access code, field test is an ATT tech system that isn't (necessarily) there for users to use.
