I have iPhone 3GS running 3.1.2. I had some issues with my phone so had to do restore. Currently its unlocked and jailbroken. After installing all apps, I noticed that network triangulation no longer works. It used to work earlier.
My GPS is however working fine. If the phone is able to link to satellites, GPS works perfectly fine...but lets say if you're inside the house where GPS would not work and if you click the location button on google maps, it would use triangulation method to give you a rough estimate. This tiangulation method no longer works for me. It keeps on saying that the location cannot be found. I inserted the sim on my friends iphone and in his phone triangulation works perfectly fine.
Just to summarize...i'm having problem with triangulation (when GPS cannot work due to un-reachability to satellites).
I tried turning location option on and off...rebooting but nothing helps. Any help is appreciated.
