Is there a way to see if someone without an iPhone read my message??

I have an iPhone 3 with the new update. Is there an app or anyway I can see if someone without an iPhone read my message? I just want to know if my boyfriend is ignoring me. He's 4 hrs away and I have haven't heard from him. I'm worried.

I believe BBM shows if its read but that won't help you here. Have you tried calling him? Also I assume you don't mean iPhone 3g- iOS 8 doesnt work on that device

If you sent a text, and it's not an iPhone, then no.

BBM will show you a D for delivered and R for read. Or if you use Facebook Messenger App it will say Delivered or Seen.
