My internet has been extremely slow recently both on the phone and while tethering. I downloaded the speedtest.net app and i'm getting .2Mbps download and .08Mbps upload under 3G data. Usually, I'm hovering around 2 Mbps so this is really odd for my phone in my area.

When I'm connected to my home wifi network, i get 7.4 Mbps download speed on my laptop and only 2.2 Mbps download on my phone.

I've recently done a full restore and I'm jailbroken on 4.2.1 with redsnow. I've tried respringing and rebooting but the problem persists. any advice?

ohh i think it's not a big problem, contact your operator for better assist.

I would say that the operator is either aware of this or they are doing some maintenance or upgrades in the area.

Is it still the case outside your area?

I agree with 'Lee10's and 'iV1SHAL's general idea, it could be that your service provider is the source of the problem, possibly just in your general area.

Have you tried SpeedTest.net in another area?

If you have, how about when you aren't jailbroken?
