3G white screen

So I pretty much know it's hardware related but here's the story

I got my buddy 3G when it turns on you get grey lines then it gos all white!
The phone responds to iTunes even shutting down if u know where to swipe.
Hard reset no go
Restore no go
Power home and volume button no go
Open up checked LCD connection and reconnected cable 1 no go
Phone is no cracked or scratched anywhere on the screen
Is there anything else I can try ?
Also would a new LCD fix ? I think the digitizer and enerything else is ok

O and the phone is on 4.21 never been JB and is not JB

If you can swipe and turn the phone off then the digitizer is working correctly.
Also the fact it works in iTunes sounds like it is functioning correctly.

So via the process of elimination I would try replacing the LCD screen, it's not hard and there are plenty of tutorials online.

I figured that's what it was I'm ok doing the replacement just wanted a second opinion in case theres something I missed lol
