loose screen (iPhone 3G)

Today I noticed that the screen on my iPhone 3G is loose towards the top of the phone. I can press on the screen and hear it pop and watch it lift up slightly as I let go.

My phone is out of warranty, and I didn't buy applecare for it. Now from what I can gather I can't talk to Apple techs about it because it isn't in warranty.

Any suggestions?

My advice would be to treat it carefully, as the condition would worsen, and if it really bugs you enough to may want to get it fixed, though that would likely cost as much as a new iPhone G4/HD on contract. I believe apple fixes them as well, though they might charge $199.

My suggestion would be to deal with it and use the money you would spend on fixing for the new iPhone that is coming out.

I agree with the above post. New iPhone coming soon, worth waiting for right now.
