Can anyone please help me. I was trying to do a factory reset on my iphone 3G and the phone got stuck on the apple. its not doing anything but showing the apple logo on the screen and the page holding circular icon. I have tried to connect it to itunes and its not recognizing the phone as being connect to itunes. I would really appreciate if you can help!!!

Just put the phone into DFU mode and restore from there:
