You may have to delete your calls from your iPhone that is associated with your iPad for making calls. I think your iPad mirrors your iPhone call history, since the iPad doesn't have a "Phone" app and uses FaceTime.

Edit: I just went into FaceTime and tried swiping left on a phone call in my history. That worked to delete it.
