Why does my ipad stop updating email intermittently

Sometimes email updates and sometimes it does not. Why?
How do I fix it?

Anytime I've ever seen or experienced email issues in iOS, I recommend signing/deleting that account from your device completely. Then, signing back into that account. That tends to help resolve lots of the issues I've found.
