I was reading the tech specs on the iPad Pro on Apple's website and I just started wondering if the Touch ID sensor is the first generation or second generation that are on the 6s and 6s Plus?

Apple would not go backwards on the Touch ID sensor for a new product but they also don't update an older model device either would be my guess since that would require some level of internal design changes which would cost more and not be a ROI for them.

Ok Touch ID is getting better and better after using some days, Now it's almost very close to my 6S Plus :) (maybe new 256 GB is something else???!)

Maybe it has to establish a baseline pattern. Try as you might to always place your finger the same there are going to be variations and it probably has aligned enough samples now to speed up the process.
