I'm holding a brand-new 9.7-inch iPad Pro with Pencil and Smart Keyboard in my hands. If you've got questions, throw them my way.

    So far, so great!

Does it feel tiny now that you've gotten accustomed to the original iPad Pro?

Awesome Rene!!! Even though its smaller, does it fit well with the Smart Keyboard?

Little bit! It looks like a mini next to the 12.9-inch version.

It's a smaller smart keyboard, so yes it does. It's not quite as easy to type on as the full-size iPad Pro keyboard, but it's not bad at all! I'll give it a day or so to see how I feel!

Does the drawing surface feel restrictive? Obviously it's smaller than the 12.9".

I'm torn on if I want the keyboard or not. Is it worth it? Do you think it needs a back cover?

If the iPad Pro is arguably the future of Apple computing, should Apple make a version of iTunes for it similar to that of OS X? I mean, I'm one of those people who still make iTunes backups as well as use iTunes to restore my iPhones from time to time. How will I be able to fully get away from the Mac/MacBook if I'm unable to do those things? Know what I mean?

Hi Rene! How does the performance compare with the 12.7-in iPad Pro?

I feared it would, but no. I'm used to drawing on both 17x11 and 11x8.5 paper, though, so the brain adjusts.

I'm liking the keyboard. Back cover is always safer.

I've only been using it for a few hours but so far, so great. A9X is a beast.

Putting the pencil and keyboard stuff to the side, how is the overall performance compared to the Air 2? Can you tell a difference?

Also, how much better does the screen seem compared to the Air 2?

Not sure you could put that stuff to the side- unless the extra speakers are important to you... For me the pencil is the driving force to get that over the air 2-

I've thought about getting the Air 2. 16gb is too small but I could live with 32gb. The Air 2 64gb is $499 and the ipad pro 32gb is $599. With only a difference of $100, I might go with the pro for the screen and performance.

You can get a 64 gig refurbished air 2 from Apple outlet online for $419

So for someone who hasn't had either. Which would you recommend. Which one is the true Pro the bigger screen or the smaller.

I am in the same area of indecision...which to get? I've got 128gb and Smart Keyboard as necessary. I've got an 11" maxed out MacBook Air for work. That is next year's upgrade.

But I spend a lot of time in bed when at home, and in a wheelchair anywhere else (severe pain and spinal injury). I lecture in computer science and IT, but the Air does all I need. I have a 5 year old iMac that, with some ram love, would do well at home too.

But for rattling around and brain storming with post grads and public transport, what would suit me and the electric wheelchair of doom? It's so hard to find tech reviews from the disability POV - something to consider, Rene! I have everything from iPhone 6plus to Apple Watch, and end up being the tech reviewer for disabled friends. It would be nice to point them to a site....

I been holding off to get a new iPad for a while now. I have the iPad 3 and been drooling over the idea of getting an iPad Pro. Since the Apple Pencil review I been wanting to get it. I love to draw. I have used Paper by 53 to draw my cat Patches using a cheaply stylus. Click image for larger version.

How are those speakers on the 9.7 model? As loud and clear as the 12 in model? This is one feature I've been waiting for. Now, IF I can only find a case that has channels that project the sound forward like the Macally one does...
