Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with this? Apple is asking for $600 to get it repaired/replaced. I don't know what to possibly do. Thank you everyone in advanced

That's a big screen unfortunately. Not sure if there are any 3rd party that can do it. I would probably just send it on, at least you know it's done right.

Hindsight being 20/20, AppleCare is a good idea on these things.

That was a very smart move! I unfortunately didn't. So the repair cost is a hefty fee of $600

It's a great device sorry for your loss I would purchase a new one if it's that costly and sell yours for parts to offset the cost of a new one.

I was quoted about the same to replace my iPad 12.9 128 GB. Luckily under warranty I received a free new replacement. On mine the screen would flicker and sometimes unresponsive. Screen was in brand new condition.

I purchased my iPad on eBay. I was lucky because the iPad is insured until December.

I would recommend getting a glass screen protector after you get it replaced.
