How easy is it to get your IPad Pro in and out of the ProCase? How is it to draw on your iPad Pro when it is in the case?

Very easy, like putting on/taking off a glove. Everything lines up perfectly.

I don't draw, but many times I'll annotate pdf's and its no problem.

I got the case primarily for protection but it's nice to have a loop to slip a pen or stylus in as well as the slit on the one side for a few letters or papers.

hi, can you let me know if the "Apple Pencil holder" (the little loop) is secure enough to hold an apple pencil (if you don't own the AP, how is it with a normal pen?) I ask because i have been looking all around for a case that also securely holds the pencil. i really like how the Pro Case looks but i'm not sure a single loop holds the pencil securely enough -- it looks like the pencil can just slip out.

Logitech create case (without keyboard) plus added a loop for my apple pencil. The case is pretty slim and although it is pricey at 79 bucks I haven't seen another case that lets you put the ipad at any angle and stay there whatever they use for it is really sturdy and not flimsy feeling like the keyboard version Click image for larger version.

I just got the Zagg Slim Book delivered today.
I originally bought the Logi Create because I knew I wanted the backlit keys and that was the only one readily available at the time.
The Zagg has seven different back light colors to switch between versus the standard one that the Logi has.
I can say that I already like the Zagg so much more.
The smart connector for the keyboard is not a big deal for me seeing how Zagg claims two year battery life off of one charge.
If the keyboard gets even half of that I will be happy.
The fact that I can detach the iPad from the keyboard case makes it even better.
It feels much more solid than the Logi does.
The fact that I can put the screen in any orientation that I want also is a big plus.
Here are some pictures side by side of the two.

Has anyone found a decent Smart Cover equivalent that is cheaper than Apple's? I currently have one of apples (White - Open Box at Best Buy) but I'm having a hard time spending a $50 on it.

Default Best cases for iPad Pro

I would like an iPad Pro case that simply closes and does not have any of that folding cover idea. Where one can fold the cover is various positions to rest the iPad on. Do not want that.

There is no photo of the back but there is not and folds on the reverse side.
    Found this one.

I purchased one that looks OK. Only because I want one before iPad arrives from ebay. Looks like the iPad and cover arrives nearly the same day.

Designed specifically for iPad Pro, the Silicone Case protects the back of your device and is designed to pair seamlessly with the Smart Cover for full front-and-back coverage.

On Amazon I found the Tech Armor Ballistic Glass Screen Protector (HD) for $14.41. But I have not tried it yet.

I find these style of case to not hold up well in stand modes. I have tried the SUPCASE from UnicornBeetle. It has a decent kickstand but no screen protector or cover. I'm currently using the Otterbox one. It has a cover that doubles as an adjustable stand that has two different angles. It is super protection with a built-in screen protector but so big and heavy. The portrait mode using the stand fits at a steep, odd angle. My only concern is using the stand cover in landscape mode, it's just resting on it with pretty minimal points holding it. So it can slide or fall off relatively easily. On a desk or table it's fine, but in your lap or bed it slides off more often. I'm eyeing the UAG Urban Armor Gear case. It has a nice wide looking kickstand built-in and clip for the Apple Pencil.

The case that I purchased is neat. When the cover is closed the iPad will shut off. As soon as case is opened the iPad turns on again. Strange concept for me.

I bought the Icarer Leather case. I wanted real leather that would age gracefully and have been pretty happy so far. The one drawback is that it didn't have a pencil holder... I made my own and its been pretty great. You can find it on Amazon for less than $60.

just search for Icarer ipad pro case on amazon and you'll find it. I went with the brown.

Recommended Sleeve: Harber, UK leather sleeve.

Advantage: It fits with the Smart cover on. Stays slim and has a nice felt interior lining.

They have a storefront on Etsy. Only thing i could wish for is a holder for my pencil, but on second thought, like it without an not carry my pencil in my breast pocket.

Still a fan of the Logitech keyboard/case. A few clunks but mostly solid performance.

I got the ZooGue case and started using it this weekend. It's darn close to perfect. Nice case that supports the iPad Pro like a boss! Any angle you want and it's sturdy and stable as a rock. I was able to draw on it and it was just as firm as if it were on the surface of the desk it's self and was able to adjust it to any angle without a problem. GREAT case especially if you're using it for artistic purposes!

I grabbed the UAG scout & it is great! The stand sounds a bit like its breaking whenever its extended but otherwise it works great and the pencil holder is a nice addition.

The biggest weakness I found in the ZooGue was the pencil loop. It's great that it's there but It's so flimsy I could see it stretching or getting caught on something. I decided to do my own fix on it. There was so much room on that upper flap that I made a pouch and put it on it so that the pencil is completely enclosed and protected. It would be nearly impossible to fall out.
