    Default Mini volume question

    I just got a mini. I think I have a defective volume key. The volume up key is nice and soft and responsive, however the down volume key I have to press it really hard for it to respond. Also when I press the down key it makes a noise. This doesn't happen with the up volume key. Is this normal?..

    No, not normal. As John suggested, pay Apple a visit and get it resolved.
