I'm wondering which one to give them. They are not tech savy, but I still want to give them a great Apple experience. It will be mostly to Facetime with my kids and e-mails. My main concern is the size. Will it be too small ? Cause from what I read the performance won't be that noticeable.

If you think they'll get a Bluetooth keyboard and use it as a laptop or main computer, get them the 2. Mini is nice and small, a great extra device... Not sure it makes a good main device.
