Google Play Music for iPad?

I've just made the switch from my old Nexus 7 to an iPad Mini with Retina Display (my first iOS device), and I was pretty disappointed to find only an iPhone version of the Play Music app in the app store. While usable, it feels fairly basic and unintuitive compared to what I was used to on Android, and I hate that it's not taking advantage of the lovely screen that the Mini has.

That being the case, I have two questions:

1. Has an iPad optimised version been given a release date, or even been announced? I've tried searching, but found nothing concrete.

2. If not, or if it'll likely take a while, can anyone recommend a good third-party app? Preferably free (or with a free trial), but I'm not averse to paying for a quality app.

I use Gmusic 2 on my iPhone & rMini & it works great. Haven't had any issues.

I just use the iPhone version on my iPad.
It works.
BTW: When accessing Google Play Music site on my MacBook Air, I can only get it to play with FireFox. Won't work with Safari.

GPM site works fine in Safari for me. MacBook Pro, Late 2011, OS X 10.9.2
