Deleted photos/videos on iPad

Hey I was wondering if photos and videos have been deleted in the recently deleted album in photos are they still somewhere on your device or have they completely been deleted off the device? If not where can they be found?

Photos and videos deleted from the recently deleted album are truly gone. There is no way to get them if you don't have a backup of them.

Ooh okay so by a backup you mean like iCloud? And if I have that turned off there is literally no way of getting the photos?

If you didn't backup those pictures on any cloud service, they are really gone.

However, if you made a backup in iTunes while the photos were still on your device, you can get them back by putting that backup back on your phone.
