Why isn't my iPad Air connecting with my cellular network?

Ipad air cannot connect with cellular network

My Ipad Air lost cellular network connection while in service
Since then, cellular network connection cannot be maid.
The message on the display says:"SIM CARD NOT INSTALLED"
What action should i take?

Does the iPad Air come with a SIM card, and if so, is it installed in the device? If not, then I assume that's the culprit.

Did it ever work? If you are paying for a service and not getting it I would contact your carrier
