iPad Advice for locking it down and upgrade on the fly.
My company is considering purchasing two iPads for a convention display out of the country. We want to be able to lock the iPads down so that only a 5 minute movie will play. However, we need to be able to update this movie if needed while it is at the convention. Is there any kind of software available to us to do this specific action. And yes, we will have a delegate there who can type in an admin password if need be.

Re: iPad Advice for locking it down and upgrade on the fly.
The iPad has settings that can lock it to running only a select app called Guided Access. This also allows you to select areas of the screen that won't respond to touches. And it has a passcode. So you load your video in a given app and turn Guided Access on. If the app has buttons that would allow selecting another video you can mark that area of the screen as being untouchable but leave areas of the screen that control volume and play or pause as touchable. Then when the video needs to change the attendant would turn off guided access so they can touch the change video button, change the video and then turn it back on.
