Connecting printer to network

I have an apple mini iPad and have just bought a new HP3050A desk jet printer, which is an air printer and is on the list of HP printers.
I am unable to connect the printer to the network.

You will have to follow the instructions that came with your printer to get it to connect to your Wi-Fi network. I'm assuming, there's some sort of setup wizard or option to either enter the Wi-Fi network information directly into the printer or via software associated with it.
