Possible to text from iPad to android phone

Hi-trying to help a friend out. He has a new iPad and wants to be able to use message on it to "text" his sister who has an android phone. Is this possible with a third-party app or ? Thanks in advance.

Yes it's possible to do it without an app straight from Message just search the phone number in your contacts from message.
There another way via mail You got to know the phone provider way.
Example: Telus is :
PhoneNumber@msg.telus.com

2225557777@msg.telus.com

Use it for the email address of the phone

Every provider have there formul
you just got to find it !
