There are many discussions whether iPad may kick off PCs. Do we still need a PC?

Please list all USUAL tasks where iPad needs the help of a big brother.

There are some apps to solve the problems with E-Mail attachments. But this MUST be fixed by Apple in iOS 7 or earlier. I think the main point is the problem with uploading files. It is possible for photos from the camera roll but not for other file types. That's truly an important disadvantage.

Of course, the iPad was never meant to replace a computer. Why do you insist on using it that way?

Accessing sites that require Java Applets.
This is why I also have an MacBook Air.

Only real issue is the file issue like uploading resume etc

I find I can do virtually anything at work that I need to on my iPad. I often spend the entire day away from the desk and don't feel like lugging a laptop everywhere with me.
That being said, if I were sitting at my desk, I wouldn't choose my iPad over my desktop for the majority of tasks. It's usable, just not ideal.
