Hi my name is Mike and I am new to this forum.I have a 5 g a month plan on my ipad and going over very quickly.From aug 17 till aug 22 i have used 4 gb received and 42 mb sent,that is just watching some youtube videos.I count 18 videos of about 8-10 minutes long.Does this sound right?

Bottom line: Save the YouTube watching for when you have WiFi available.

I've been wondering why I don't go over 2gig with my iPhone. Reading this post made it click. WiFi usage doesn't count. I surf the net a lot and which some videos here and there. I've also been using Pandora more and more in the car. The most that I've used in a month is 1.8g (unlimited plan). Trying to decide if I should go with a shared plan when I purchase my iPad or keep the unlimited on my phone and go with a separate plan for the iPad.
