So I just got the new iPad coming from the first iPad and I am using this for going on Twitter and when somebody posts a funny picture I save these so I can share them with friends, well with the new iPad for some reason I can't just save the image from the screen I have to go to safari to get to twitter and save the picture through that. Has anyone else noticed this at all or have they found a way do this?

I don't think the change in hardware would have any affect on this.

Are the images that you are trying to save uploaded from the same place? There are a ton of image upload services available for Twitter and that may be causing some of the issue.

You are apparently using the default "Twitter for iPad" app. If you use another app such as "Tweetbot" you can save the pic by tapping & holding on the pic without going into Safari.
