iPad 2 won't verify iOS 7.0.3 update

I am trying to install the 7.0.3 update on my iPad 2. It keeps telling me that the iOS 7.0.3 update failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet. I have 3.5 GB of available storage. I have restarted several times. Same message. Any ideas?

I think you need more than 3.5GB available even the install is much smaller. Go to apple.com and the support forums. Type in the search box something like "space needed to update OS on iPad". No knock on iMore posters as we are all here to help, it's just the Apple forums often times have more tech savvy and Apple employees providing answers. If you need more space, you can always delete some stuff and add it back once you've updated.
