    Default Use iPad as a line-in speaker

    I have an iPad 2 that has a lot of apps on it and doesn't have room for my 8 gb of music. I have an iPod nano and an line-in cable. Could I play the music on my iPad from the iPod with the cable?

    No.

    You should be able to use the iPad to stream from your iTunes library if you have home sharing turned on...

    I just don't have 3G so I need to have a speaker system away from home.

    Any retailer will have dirt cheap speakers with a 3.5 mm cord. We're talking $10 & under kind of cheap, and it'll probably sound better lol
