Is it possible to transfer contacts from iPad 2 to iPhone 4s?

If you have a gmail account or other cloud based email accounts that contain your contacts, all you have to do is create the account(s) on the iPhone and then your contact list will sync to it. If you have an iCloud account, login to it via your iPhone's iCloud setting and then your contact list will sync to your phone.

you can use icloud, it will then push all your contacts to all your devices that are connected to your iCloud account (iPad, iPod, iPhone, Mac, PC)
