PDF Issue

Thanks in advance for any help on this question.

I have a PDF Document that I've typed on, saved and emailed to myself. I open the email on my IPad and the document is there, but all of my responses are gone.

Is there something I should doing differently?

I definitely saved and sent the right copy. I opened on my laptop and the data I typed was there, but when opened on iPad, no data, just the original document.

At the risk of Grandmother-egg-sucking, are you sure that your changes actually REACHED the document?
That is did you work in Adobe Distiller?
or
Did you un-.pdf it, do your edits and then re-.pdf it?
.pdf files by their very nature are not intended to be easily changed.
