iPad2 front camera vs. MacBook iSight

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with both the iPad2 front camera and the typical iSight cameras on MacBooks or older MacBook Pros. I'm curious what, if any differences there might be in quality while using something like iChat or Skype for video conferencing. From what I can tell through web searches, they are both basically VGA (640x480) fixed focus. So, I'd assume they would be quite similar in quality, though maybe the drivers and such make a difference.

Basically, my wife and I have been happy video conferencing with our laptops, and we're curious if we will get a similar experience with an iPad2 (despite all the talk about how 'bad' the iPad2 cameras are). Thanks
