Music Creation on iPad

I have an M-Audio KeyStudio USB MIDI Music Keyboard for my iMac. I was wondering (and hoping!) that when Garage Band is released for the iPad, I will be able to connect my music keyboard to my iPad's Garage Band for music creation? Does anybody know if this is possible? My initial thoughts are yes.

That's a good question. I was wondering the same time. I use Pro-Tools, and Logic Pro. I'm wondering how we will be able to record thru Garage Band on the iPad.

I was actually just watching the iPad2 presentation off of Apple.com. I fast forward it to the Garage Band portion of the presentation and the app actually has the instruments built into it. They give a pretty decent description of how it works. They also say that it's compatible with Garage Band's desktop version. Steve Jobs said you can start, stop, edit and finish songs on iPad and desktop.
