Yes, I ordered through Apple. I ordered a 16GB Black Wi-Fi only version. Needless to say I am "patiently" pacing for the iPad 2 to get here. I sold my original iPad 2 months ago to recover as much money as possible.

I ordered a 64GB White at 4:10am (EST) and it now shows "prepared for shipment".

I also decided later to order a blue polyurethane cover (11am EST) with a 1-2 week shipping estimate and it also shows "prepared for shipment", so it appears Apple is overestimating shipping times (smart...).

Ordered a 64GB Black iPad and gray cover @1:11 am yesterday. Original info said "ships in 3-5 business days" and estimated delivery "March 18-25".

Got notification yesterday that the cover shipped and will be delivered on March 15. Got notification today that my iPad has shipped and will deliver by March 18. Checking the Fedex tracking info, they say it will deliver March 17 by 4:30 pm. YES! That's earlier than originally indicated in the confirmation email from Apple. Can't wait! As I'm currently in Europe and don't get home until the 17th, this will work out perfectly. Will kind of be like Christmas in March!

Well I had ordered 2 of them from Apple and got the 18-25th delivery date as did many. For the heck of it I stopped into Best Buy this morning knowing that they would be out but I wanted to check out the demo. They had 5 left in stock! I cancelled my Apple order at the counter with my iPhone and bought them there. Funny thing was I could only buy one at a time per BB rules. So I had to buy one, take it to my car, and go back into the store to buy the second one.

Fed Ex tracking says both iPads I ordered will be here on 3/17/11. I guess they are individually boxed because I have 2 tracking numbers for 1 order. Very excited

Ordered at 1:02amPT, first told would ship in 3-5 business days, but now am Apple-emailed that it has shipped and will arrive March 18. But, like others apparently, FedEx says March 17.
