Mail app left hand pane - jumping to top

Hi

When in the mail app and I'm scrolled down the list of my inbox and delete or file a message it jumps back to the very top of the list.

Really annoying. Does anyone know if there's a way to stop this and have it remember the place I was at?

If I were go to the last message in my inbox and then either delete or archive it, it will jump to the message just above it, and not to the very top. I don't know if this has an effect on it or not, but is your email organized by thread? Mine is not. Change it in the settings to see if it helps or not.

Checked and it's happening whenever I file a message in a folder - very, very annoying :raised-eyebrow:

If you're going through your list from top to bottom & just filing or deleting Mail from the top of the list it will jump to the top, where as going from bottom to top will go to the next to last message as it works its way to the top. Think it's been intentionally coded to work that way by Apple.
