Strange App icon randomly showed up on iPhone 5 today

Does anyone know what this App icon is? It mysteriously showed up on my phone today.

I did not download anything or visit any strange websites. When I try to delete it, I am unable to. I'm hesitant to connect to iTunes to remove it that way for fear of it possibly infecting my laptop...

Shouldn't that be in the Newsstand app? I wasn't aware they made a separate one.

Connect it to iTunes. I have a feeling when your phone synced it downloaded it back on to your phone but something got interrupted. Also try a reboot. If that doesn't work maybe a restore.

I have the same problem. Mine's a different app though. This has happened twice before, two different apps automatically downloaded on my phone but I was able to delete them. This time though, it wouldn't delete.

Try looking in Settings > General > Restrictions and see if Deleting Apps has been Switched off.
