Ringtone louder then SMS tone

This may have been an issue for a while but I just noticed it.

If you set the same ringtone sound for ringtones it will play much louder then setting the same sound for SMS. This may have been by design which I would not put it past Apple to have the phone ring louder them alert for messages. But one would think it should be the same audio level.

Thoughts?

Hmmm I'm going to have to test it out, but I agree that it's probably by design.

It's annoying the heck out of me. lol

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Calls are more urgent than messages, as in you have to pick up the phone while it rings but you don't have to answer a text when the alert sounds.
Just my 2 cents.
